Set Up a Connection

Before connecting, configure file sharing on your computer:

After the shared folders are set up, you can use Auto Discovery or enter the connection details manually.

Auto Discovery

  1. Open FE File Explorer on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap the add button, then select the type of item you want to connect to, such as Windows, Mac, or NAS.
  3. The computers on your local network appear in Network Neighborhood.

  1. Tap the computer you want to connect to, then enter the computer username and password.

If the computer belongs to a Windows domain, enter the username as Domain\UserName or UserName@Domain.

Set Up a Connection Manually

  1. Open FE File Explorer on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap the add button, then choose Computer, NAS.
  3. Enter the computer name or IP address.
  4. Enter the username and password used to sign in to the computer.

Once the connection is saved, tap it in the connection list to access its shared folders.
