Play Supported Video Formats

For iOS-supported formats such as MP4, MOV, and M4V, tap the AirPlay button to play the video on your TV.

To display external subtitles on Apple TV, turn on Screen Mirroring in Control Center.

For formats that iOS does not support natively, such as MKV, AVI, and WMV, turn on Screen Mirroring in Control Center.
